1. Teams will be permitted to set up equipment, cookers, and/or other facilities anytime Friday. 2. Teams will be briefed at 7:00 pm. Each team must send at least 1 member of their team to the briefing. Team number & cooking area assignment will be issued then. Cooking will begin after the briefing. ALL HOGS MUST BE COOKED ON SITE. 3. Each team is responsible for having at least a 100 ft water hose and extension cord. 4. Judging will begin promptly at 9:00 am , Saturday, Oct. 20 and winners will be announced at approximately 12:00 Noon. 5. ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD WILL BE SOLD OR GIVEN AWAY to the public until after the judging and the winners are announced. You will be disqualified if this happens, and your hog will be taken. 6. Aprons must be worn by all team members at the time of judging and cooking areas must be kept clean at all times. 7. After cooking, all meat must be maintained and covered at 130 degrees. 8. The chief cook will be held responsible for the conduct of his/her team and guests. Fighting will not be tolerated! This will mean disqualification. 9. All team must be discreet with any alcoholic beverages on the premises. Alcoholic beverages must be in cups. Teams are not allowed to give or sell alcoholic beverages to the public. 10. Decorating of your cooking area with streamers, banners, flags, signs etc. to boast about your team and brag about your superiority in the finer art of "outdoor cooking" is appropriate and encouraged. 11. Each team is responsible for clean up of their area at the conclusion of the cook-off. 12. If any of the above rules are violated, teams may be disqualified. 13. When leaving Saturday, have a Town of Kingstree Staff member help you out. 14. NO FUNERAL HOME TENTS ALLOWED. Pop up tents only. Do not drill or hammer anything into the pavement. 15. THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES IS FINAL |

Town and festival regulations 2. Vendors are to bring enough items to sell all day of the event. 3. There will be NO rain date. An entry fee is a commitment to the event and no refunds will be made (unless vendor is not accepted). 4. NO FUNERAL HOME TENTS are allowed. Pop up tents only. Do not hammer or drill anything into the pavement. No trucks, autos, or campers are allowed in a space. 5. All barbecue foods must be cooked on a gas grill, no open flames. 6. Security will be provided Friday and Saturday nights. However, the Town of Kingstree will not be responsible for loss or damage for any reason. 7. Vendor parking will be marked. Each vendor will receive two parking passes. Please remember that electricity will be limited and is available on a first come first serve basis. You will be notified if there is a conflict in being able to provide you with power. Please only purchase power if it is necessary to run your booth (not for fans, radios, televisions, etc) |
